He is a friend that you can trust. He has never broken his promise to anyone.

You should give up now. Trying to get him to change his pinion is a waste of your   
time and energy.

7. 他向同事请教了如何控制实验的进度。(exercise control over…)
He asked for advice from his colleagues on how to exercise control over the pace of the experiment.

8. 在一个现代社会中,受教育不应该被看成是一种特权 (be considered to)
Education should not be considered to be a privilege in a modern society.

9. 我说的只适用于你们当的一部分人(apply… to …)
What I said applies only to some of you.

10. 因为他在音乐方面的天赋和声誉,他去了很多国家做指挥.
Because of his musical talent and fame, he traveled to many countries as a conductor.

She desires that her child (should) see her at once.

The music and the setting are clearly the key components of this amazing production.
